Welcome to ‘Ocean Breath & Energy Workβ (Breathwork/ Reiki). I am looking forward to our session. Sessions generally last 90 minutes.
I will connect with you via FaceTime/WhatsApp/Zoom (or in person at your place of choosing in Hawaii).
Included below is a Client Intake form. If the attachment does not open, I also included it within the body of this email. I include it here for professionalism, due diligence, and to benefit the session. If there is something you would rather not answer, please leave blank. If you could please fill it out and return to me prior to the session, that would be awesome.
We will begin the by briefing the details of the session, then I will teach the breathwork techniques and we will practice the breathwork exercises. I will then guide the breathwork segment of the session, which will lead into the reiki. Afterwards, we will have a quick debriefing, feedback and closing thoughts. I also like to review suggested breathwork techniques to practice on your own time.
If you would like more information, I have included a bunch below including procedures for the session, a link to music, intake form, a brief description of breathwork, pranayama & reiki, FAQ, my credentials and info about me. You DO NOT have to go over it all π
I have three fee options:
- $175: ONE 90 minute session w/ 30 min follow-up later in week.
2) $350: FOUR 90 minute sessions w/ 30 min follow-ups
***3) For the next five days, as part of my βTyβs Return to Oahuβ special, I am offering a rate of $75 for the introductory session or $50 per session when you pay for five.
This is essentially a full breathwork/pranayama course with five reiki sessions, in person or remote. Packages are my most popular option. My clients keep telling me repeated and consistent sessions help them very much. This is why I offer this price, to make the best experience and results non cost prohibitive. It works out to be 70% off.

These are private one-on-one sessions conducted remotely over video call, anywhere in the world- from the comfort of home, outdoors in the natural world, or any quiet space. In-person sessions available in Hawaii.
All sessions are followed with a personalized home breathwork plan and a quick followup check-in/breathwork lesson three days (or so) later.

SESSION PLAN
BREATHWORK/REIKI SESSION
1. Connect via video chat. (Or in person.)
2. Introduction, intention and briefing.
3. Breathwork explanation, demonstration and practice.
4. Guided breathwork session begins.
- Lie down in a quiet place safe from interruption. Put phone in βDo Not Disturb’ mode, set a timer for 60 minutes, start the music, place a towel over your eyes, and begin.
- Follow breathwork guidance. Consciously connect with your breath. Focus only on your breath. Β Maintain a slightly longer exhale to enable parasympathetic nervous response, physical relaxation and more effective energy flow.
- Thoughts are energy. When they pop up, observe them, but do not engage. Let them go.
- Emotions are energy in motion. Let them flow.
- Physical sensations can be felt when energy blocks are cleared and shifted. Feel them. Breathe.
- Breathe. Receive. Let go.Β
- Be.
5. When the guided breathwork is over, I will begin the reiki session. Please remain lying down focused on your breath until the timer goes off.

NOTES:
1. Drink LOTS of water after the session.
2. The shifting that occurs from the clearing of your energy centers (known as spiritual detox) may last up to three days. Be aware of and take note of any physical sensations, feelings, thoughts and emotions that occur.
3. By consciously connecting your breath, refraining from alcohol, sugar, caffeine, eating light and eating foods made of light (particularly fruits & vegetables) during this three day period, the session is far more effective.
4. Grounding is key following the session. In addition to the above suggestions, immersing your face in cold water is an excellent form of grounding. Also, walking on grass in bare feet and being outdoors in nature is very helpful.
5. Continue taking any physician prescribed medication. Reiki is designated complimentary and alternative therapy and is not a replacement for medical care.

WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a Japanese word & practice. βRei’ means universal and βKi’ means life force energy. This is a century old practice based on techniques used for millennia to clear and shift blocks to oneβs energy centers and balance the energetic system. I have been attuned, trained and certified to tune folks into that energy which is within us, surrounds us, penetrates us and binds the galaxy, universe together. Yes, we will be using the Force π Besides Rei Ki, universal life force energy is also known as Chi, Qi, Prana, Mana, Shakti and more.

WHAT IS BREATHWORK & PRANAYAMA?
Breathwork is the practice of controlling and manipulating the breath to improve physical, mental, emotional and even spiritual well being. It can promote mental focus, awareness, stress reduction, relaxation, well being, and personal growth. It is a highly effective means to prepare for meditation. It can clear and shift blocks to one’s energy centers. Pranayama is the combination of two Sanskrit words. βPrana’ means βlife force energy and βayama’ means to control or expand.

WHAT SPECIFICALLY IS βOCEAN BREATHβ?
βOcean Breathβ is another name for Ujjayi Pranayama. The technique is performed by lightly contracting the throat while breathing in and out the nose. This creates a vibration and sound that resembles ocean waves. This technique helps one focus on the breath, quieting the mind. It stimulates the vagus nerve that invokes a parasympathetic nervous response, initiating the bodyβs βrest and digestβ mode. It also delivers more oxygen to the blood stream. It is also called βVictoriousβ breath because it can boost confidence and can create an uplifting sense of power. And it is also known as the Darth Vader breath, because of the sound it creates. This is cool for two reasons. One, the Darth Vader sound was created by recording the sound of breathing through a SCUBA regulator. Two, we are basically using the Force when we practice Pranayama, Reiki & Wu Wei. But in a good way π This is an awesome breathwork technique to combine with energy work and meditation.

WHAT IS MY ROLE?
My role is to be a guide. For the breathwork, I will guide via teaching, demonstrating and leading the breathing exercises. For the Reiki, I will guide in the form of tuning you into the energy, allowing it flow more freely within you. I am a conduit, tuning you into the energy already within and around you. The intelligent energy does all the work, responding to areas of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual distress and pain at their source and only for your highest good.

HOW DOES REIKI WORK FROM A DISTANCE?
This practice works from a distance through intention, quantum entanglement and the Hermetic Law of Similarity, which basically posits that we are all energetically connected. An impediment to this process can be the mind. I know it doesnβt make sense. But it works. Quiet the mind, still the body and focus on your breath to increase the efficacy of the session.

WHAT WILL I FEEL?
You may feel warmth, calm, relaxation, hot, cold, slight pain & discomfort, heat in specific parts of body, numbness, tingling, low level pressure in sinus and ear airspaces. Long buried thoughts may arise, emotions may flow, vivid memories may pop up. You may see light and colors. You may cry or laugh. You may feel absolutely awesome! You could fall asleep. Or you may feel and experience absolutely NONE of these things. The energy is still working. It is intelligent and goes where it needs to go and ONLY for your highest good. WHO IS TYLER & WHAT IS HIS STORY?
I am a certified breathwork & pranayama instructor,reiki master/teacher, meditation facilitator, yoga instructor and a professional dive instructor/ operator (PADI Master Instructor) with over 15,000 dives with tens of thousands of divers of all skill levels. As dive instructors, we use our training, experience, methods, and techniques to help people enjoy safe and fun SCUBA dives. Sometimes, this involves helping folks overcome obstacles caused by anxiety, stress, and fear. Clearing those blocks helps divers become relaxed, balanced, calm, still, and present in the ocean, allowing for truly enjoyable and safe explorations of the underwater world. At the core of those methods are breath and energy work techniques. It all begins by focusing on our breath and energy.
While on an extended βscubaticalβ, I endeavored on a path directed by a single premise and two subsequent questions: I have helped thousands become relaxed, balanced, calm, still, and presentin the ocean. Is there a way to share techniques used to teach diving and integrate them with methods from other modalities to clear blocks that generate pain and prevent folks from being relaxed, balanced, calm, still, and presentβ¦.in everyday life? And is there a way to share the awesome, unique, visceral FEELING of diving with anyone, anywhere, anytime?**
This path and those questions led me to become certified to practice and teach breathwork, pranayama, reiki, meditation and yoga. It took a while, but I can now say the answer to both questions is YES! And it has everything to do with breath & energy.
